Fall Events!

Raising Money. Let's talk about that for just a second.  I'm a horrible sales person. I've tried. I love people. I love talking, but I hate asking people to buy something.  In this business of the show, I'd much rather give people something fun to do and ask them to give a few extra of their dollars to help us continue to grow.

Fundraising in this business is tricky.  We have had almost 50 children attend our camps and workshops for free or reduced rates.  The economy is hard pressed for fun money right now.  But we feel that no child-if she or he desires to partcipate-should be turned away.  However, we still have to "pay the man" (You know the one who is the keeper of the construction paper, stickers, glue, facepaint, and other elements of the drama).

With that being said we have two upcoming events:

September 24th at 6:30p.m. at the Harbor Pier on Blount Ave in Guntersville, we will host

PICKIN' AT DUSK

The FBC Pickers will be one of our groups playing. They are so awesome!

We will also have a very special gues band, but I'm waiting to reveal that one! It's going to be awesome!

There will be food and item vendors there and we are hoping to raise money to help support our scholarship efforts for the coming year!

The other event is geared more towards our children in general. HOWEVER, don't be mistaken, there will be fun things for mom and dad too!!

HALOWEEN CARNIVAL

October 29th 2011, 10AM-1PM at the Whole Backstage Theatre

See RECESS for a special reduced rate at 2PM!

this fundraiser will be designated for the Spotlight Kids trip to Jacksonville State University to compete in the Alabama Conference of Theatre's Community Theatre Festival in October.  They will already have competed, but again..the man and all..(this time he owns a hotel we will be sleeping in and the van we need to rent to ride down there in)
